Getting started: your first steps

The eight steps Home walks you through to get your academy up and running, the best order to do them in and where to find each one.

As soon as you create your academy, Home shows you Getting started: eight steps that get DojoTally collecting payments, taking attendance and answering messages. Each step has its own button that takes you straight to the screen where it's done, and it checks itself off when you finish.

Getting started on Home, with the steps still to do and the ones already done
At the top, how many steps are left and which one to do next. Below, the ones you've already done.

The eight steps

  1. Academy details. Phone and address: with that, the agent can already tell people where you are. How to add them.
  2. Create your plans. What each student pays: monthly, twice a week, kids. Plans.
  3. Add your students. One by one, or by sending them the sign-up link so they sign up on their own. Sign-up and profile.
  4. Add your schedule. The weekly timetable: the kiosk, trial classes and the agent all use it. Schedule.
  5. Set up payments. Connect MercadoPago or Stripe, or add your bank transfer details. MercadoPago, Stripe and bank transfer.
  6. Connect WhatsApp. This is the step that pays off the most: it switches on the agent, which answers questions, books trials and sends fee reminders. Connect WhatsApp.
  7. Invite your team. Coaches and front desk, each with their own permissions. Team.
  8. Set up the kiosk. A tablet at the entrance so each student checks in on arrival. Kiosk.
In what order? The one Home suggests ("Next step") is designed so nothing is left half-done: first the academy and the plans, then the students and the schedule, and only then payments and WhatsApp.

If you don't want to see it right now

Tap I’ll do it later and Getting started shrinks to a single line on Home. Use See all steps to open it again whenever you want. It disappears on its own once you complete all eight.
